New Products in the Kitchen

October 28, 2014 By All That I'm Eating 5 Comments

There have been a few new products in the kitchen recently: Rachel’s Divine Pots and a Degustabox box. The Rachel’s Dessert Pots are relatively new to the market and the whole point of a Degustabox is to bring you a box of the latest food products and both made welcome additions to my kitchen. I certainly wasn’t short of snacks for a while.

Rachel's Organic Divine Pots Review - All That I'm Eating (1 of 2)I really like the yoghurts that I’ve tried from Rachel’s in the past so I was looking forward to trying their new Divine Pots. I thought they were similar to Gu in principle (you eat them straight from the fridge) but they are organic. I liked that they came in little glass pots; a bit more special than plastic! I tried the chocolate and the vanilla; they were both good but the chocolate was my favourite as I liked the slight bitterness from the chocolate.

The texture was similar to crème brûlée so it was nice and thick. I really enjoyed having these as a quick dessert after a meal and I was dreading looking at the calorie content but was pleasantly surprised; both vanilla and chocolate are less than 200 calories which for the flavour and texture I thought was really good. Two pots RRP at £1.49.

I am a fan of post; letters and parcels are the best when they contain food! I was sent a Degustabox to review and I liked the sound of it; a box sent through once a month (for £12.99 including delivery) which has lots of new products inside.

I liked the range of food that came in my box: cereal, drinks, biscuits, marmalade and more. In some ways I thought it was a good thing that you couldn’t choose what you got as you are sent things you might not normally buy, but on the other side of that you might get sent things that you just won’t use. I’m sure I’ll find a few family members who will be willing to take something off my hands! Everything I have tried so far in the box I have enjoyed; particularly the iced tea drinks from Little Miracles and the lentil crisps from Burt’s.

It was useful that the box contained a sheet with information about each product and a few vouchers too so if you find something you like you’ve got a little incentive to buy some more. I also thought there was an interesting mixture of big names and new names in the box so you get introduced to new brands as well as new products from existing brands.

Thank you to Rachel’s and Degustabox for the products. All opinions expressed are my own.

I love the yoghurt. Interesting to note that they have the choc version. I would like to sample the vanilla flavoured one.

You scored some terrific stuff! The Degustabox is so fun, and the yogurt sounds most excellent.

I have tried a few similar trial type mailing things before, and they were interesting, though a lot more processed stuff than I would normally ever buy. Nice for a little change of pace though. The Dessert Pots have me jealous – I don’t think they are available here. Now I want pudding!
