The Torre Luna bottle is lovely; all dark and mysterious is made me curious about its contents. It’s made from picual olives which are picked in December and January. The Torre Luna has a really creamy taste and texture but at the same time it’s slightly refreshing and clean. It doesn’t have the harsh taste you can get from some extra virgin olive oils.
The taster pack selection is a great idea as it allows you to compare the different oils. It was surprising how different they tasted and looked (although the photo may not show the differences in colour very well). The oils below are as follows: top (biggest blob) is the Torre Luna, clockwise that’s followed by the picual, the hojiblanca and the arbequina. The arbequina was the greenest of the four.
